The Language Centre
The Language Centres in Krefeld and Mönchengladbach see themselves as a meeting point for all the members, friends and acquaintances of the Hochschule Niederrhein who have an interest in foreign languages. The staff at these centres will be pleased to provide advice and assistance on the curricula and extracurricula range of language courses and offerings available at the Hochschule Niederrhein (courses, levels, assessments, textbooks, and other media, plus supplementary course-related autodidactic training offered at the Language Centre in question).

The range of foreign language courses offered at the Hochschule Niederrhein builds on a common concept. This makes it possible to refresh and extend the existing language skills while studying and/or to learn new languages. The language courses are divided into five performance levels:

- Beginners A1
- Lower Intermediate A2
- Intermediate B1
- Upper Intermediate B2
- Advanced C1
We also offer further language courses for special purposes (technical and business) in English, French, Dutch, Russian and Spanish. The learning process is supported by obligatory supplementary language training in the multimedia rooms of the two Language Centres.

Applicants can only take part in the language courses after they have registered.
After having successfully completed the course, certificates are awarded in accordance with the Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR). The certificates contain useful information on the scope and level of the course.
