International Marketing (Bachelor of Arts, Licence Gestion)
German-French degree programme
at our partner university Université de Haute Alsace, Mulhouse Colmar in Frankreich

Goal and content of the degree programme

Target group
The binational bachelor's degree programme “International Marketing" is aimed at prospective students with a practical orientation looking to complete a compact business administration degree programme specialising in Marketing and International Management with an international orientation.

Goal of the degree programme
The degree programme is aimed at enabling graduates to assume expert and management roles in national and international companies, associations, public and comparable institutions in a wide range of business administration-related fields.
The programme conveys the basic knowledge required for practical everyday business life and a wide range of specialised, methodological and social skills. Graduates are able to analyse practical business-related problems with suitable techniques and apply academic findings to develop practical solutions. They acquire the skills they need to think cross-functionally and are then in a position, for example, to understand business-related questions within the context of wider corporate processes or a higher-level socio-economic framework.

Content and structure of the degree programme
You will spend the 1st to 4thsemesters studying with students of the French partner university at the Hochschule Niederrhein, Faculty of Business Administration and Economics in Mönchengladbach.

The curriculum includes the following topics and qualifications:

  • Basics of Business Administration (core area business administration),
  • other know-how required for managerial roles in companies (economics, mathematics, commercial law, business information systems) and
  • the necessary key qualifications (commercial languages and international competence as well as other key qualifications).

Based on this knowledge, the bachelor's degree programme with its two areas of specialisation offers students the opportunity to focus more closely on these subjects.

The specialisation subjects are:

  • Marketing
  • International Management

In addition, optional compulsory courses offer students the chance to effectively round off the areas of specialisation Marketing and International Management. They are then able to use the theoretical knowledge they have acquired in practical applications.
The 5th and 6th semester of the German-French degree programme “International Marketing” are held together with the French students at the French partner university in Colmar. The curriculum here includes business-related subjects with one area of specialisation in the field of “Marketing and Sales”, advanced language courses as well as other key qualifications.

The degree programme is of modular structure, and each module is concluded with a graded examination for which the respective credit points are awarded.
