What our students say

Via the Erasmus+ funding programme, students from our partner universities are able to visit HSNR as exchange students for one or two semesters.

Of course, students from our partner universities outside of the EU are also very welcome to spend time at HSNR as exchange students.

Please contact the International Office at your home university to find out what opportunities are available to you.

Degree programmes

We offer a wide range of bachelor's and master's degree programmes.

Most of our German-taught programmes include English-language modules.

Irrespective of the programme language, exchange students also have the opportunity - subject to the faculty's approval - to choose project modules or write their thesis at HSNR.

We offer four English-taught degree programmes:

Should you have any questions with regard to individual degree programmes, the international representatives of our faculties will be happy to help you.

Language proficiency

For all German-taught degree programmes, you will need German language skills at level B2 CEFR (at least B1.2 CEFR at the time of application).

For all English-taught degree programmes, you will need English language skills at level B2 CEFR (at least B1.2 CEFR at the time of application).

Please either attach an appropriate certificate to your application or have your language level confirmed by a language teacher or a representative of your university.

Nomination

Your university nominates you for one or two exchange semesters at HSNR by sending an email to international(at)hs-niederrhein.de.

This e-mail should contain the following information::

  • Name of the nominee

  • Degree programme

  • Duration of the exchange stay

  • E-mail address


Please note the nomination deadlines:

  • For a stay beginning in the winter semester: 15 May

  • For a stay beginning in the summer semester: 15 October

Application

As soon as we have received your nomination from your home university, we will send you a link to the online application.

Please note the following application deadlines:

  • For a stay beginning in the winter semester: 1 June

  • For a stay beginning in the summer semester: 1 November

Please remember to upload the Learning Agreement as a signed pdf file when applying.


After successful application and approval of the course selection, we will send you all further information by email.
