Digitaler Masterkongress 2021: NOW AND THEN – MG CREATES CAREERS

The master congress of the Faculty of Textile and Clothing Technology awaits you on Friday, April 23, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 4.15 p.m.

After the success of our first digital conference MG OPEN SPACES last year, we look forward to see you again in our digital zoom format. The advantage: You can take part wherever you are.

Your hosts are Prof. Dr. Maike Rabe, Head of the Research Institute for Textiles and Clothing (FTB) and Prof. Dr. Lutz Vossebein, Dean of Faculty 07.

Referring to our double anniversary year 2021 you can look forward to exciting lectures and discussions on topics that move/d the textile and clothing industry.

We look back, into the here and now and into the future.

We have been a companion for training in textile professions in MG for 120 years. In April 1901, the textile education began in the Webschulstrasse at the Prussian Higher School for the Textile Industry.

We welcome Prof. Dr. Rolf Klinke, who told us about the establishment of the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences at the time. He knows us like no other: He was chairman of the planning committee at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences and Vice-Rector of the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, and from 1971 the first dean of FB 07 for over twenty years.

Dr. Uwe Mazura, General Manager of the General Association of the German Textile and Fashion Industry, will give a lecture on the path to the supply chain law. It gives an exciting outlook on what the preparation and implementation of the law means for companies, because a regulation is also being prepared at European level. Your participation in the discussion is encouraged.

Prof. Dr. Maike Rabe reports together with Daniel Bücher and Prof. Dr. Thomas Gries, ITA - Institute for Textile Technology, RWTH Aachen University on the concept and status quo of the industrial workplace of the future at the traditional location Mönchengladbach: The textile factory 7.0.

In between you can expect further lectures and as a pitch session seven visual presentations of sustainable design solutions, mainly from master's theses.
