Industrial Engineering

Hochschule Niederrhein. Your way.

Welcome to the Faculty of Industrial Engineering

Industrial engineering is a relatively young academic discipline. With its close ties between technology and business administration, it focuses on the requirements needed to gain positions in business and industry. Therefore, our programmes offer a wide range of different and interesting assignment opportunities, both at home and abroad.

Some 1000 students cannot only graduate in the "traditional topic areas" of industrial engineering, such as production and logistics, but can also gain their degree in innovative priority fields, such as Cleaning Technology and Hygiene Management, Marketing, Energy Management or in Human Engineering.

The students are taught and supervised by 20 professors, supported and complemented by contract lecturers. The faculty's practical focus also calls for close collaboration and exchange with companies located in the region.

Requirements

Besides the formal requirements, an interest in and an understanding of business administration, the natural sciences and mathematics plus the ability to engage in abstract logical thinking are also absolutely essential for studying industrial engineering.

International Coordinator

Prof. Dr. Andreas Seeliger
Energy Management

Attention

All courses are taught in German only.

Bachelor Programmes

The whole of the Lower Rhine is fully committed to playing an active role in the region by driving research and development forward and engaging in knowledge transfer together with the Hochschule Niederrhein.

The potential scope and range of applied scientific services offered at the HN is truly unique.

The successes achieved in research and innovation, in the many high-profile projects and networks and in the Euregio itself, as well as the growing number of pioneering affiliated and in-house business start-ups confirm the quality of this approach every day, as does the ever-increasing volume of contract research and examples of successful cooperation.

The following provides an initial impression of our institutes and Competence Centres as well as the services they offer.
