Then the Language Centres at the Hochschule Niederrhein are the right destination for you!

The campuses in Krefeld and Mönchengladbach offer a wide range of courses. In addition to curricular language courses from the individual faculties, extra-curricular courses are also available in 10 different languages: English, Spanish, Dutch, French, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Turkish, Chinese and German as a Foreign Language.

The language course levels are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Language Centre Krefeld

The Language Centres offer language courses both during the semester and in the semester breaks. The following courses are currently available in Krefeld:

Language courses summer semester 2023

Please note that we can only approve your application for a language course (for English) if you have taken a placement test or have submitted proof of your proficiency to the required level.

Curricular course participants are scheduled for a group appointment for the placement test at the beginning of their first semester. If you want to take a non-curricular language course, please refer to the placement dates in the online portal HISinOne or make an appointment for a consultation.

Please note that you can only attend a language course if you have submitted an application to the Language Centre and have been accepted for the course. Since there are a limited number of places available, we recommend checking the latest information on application dates and applying for a course as soon as possible!
