Faculty of Textile and Clothing Technology

The Faculty of Textile and Clothing Technology is one of the largest places of study for the next generation of textile engineers in Europe and stands for many years of sound teaching, but also for innovation, sustainability and thus for a modern form of textile and clothing industry. It offers excellent conditions for versatile studies for Bachelor and Master of Science, taught in English as well as in German.

More than 30 professors, around 25 contract lecturers and more than 30 staff members contribute their versatile expertise to support your education and into demanding research and development. The comprehensive programmes offered give the graduates of the faculty great flexibility and thus numerous opportunities for employment both in Germany and abroad.

Collaborations with universities in the EU and many countries outside Europe attest to the high reputation of Hochschule Niederrhein.

Dual Studies

For the degree programme Textile and Clothing Technology, the studies are also offered in the form of the Cooperative Engineering Apprenticeship (KIA). The following pages present this dual degree programme.

Taster week and taster lectures

The Faculty of Textile and Clothing Technology offers a taster week during the second week of the fall break. Throughout the semester, prospective students can also take part in so-called taster lectures/ HN-Open Lectures. Find out more about what we have to offer on the following pages.

The A.U.G.E. Institute works on innovative research questions in the four subject areas of occupational safety, environmental protection, health promotion and ethics.

Under the motto "Logistics for textiles - textiles for logistics", the CTL aims to combine the efforts of industry to apply innovative solutions in practical application and the interests of scientific partners in practice-related, current research topics in the field of textile logistics in the Lower Rhine region.
